REGARDING QUALITY EDUCATION IN NEAPL

In Nepal, school education can be obtained either from a public school or a private school. However, both the schools are run under the Board of Secondary education of Ministry of Education and sports of Nepali Government and having the same curriculum, private school means quality education and public welfare. It has been confirmed many times by the results of SLC (School Level Certificate) examination which is taken by the board every year and it is a secondary level examination.

Yes, it is true, the education in the public school is more or less free but there is no quality education. The teachers who are teaching here are, no doubt, qualified but they are helpless in front of an inefficient school management and the huge number of students who are not in balance according to the existing resources of the school. Here teachers are over worked and low paid.

At the some time, there are private schools run by private sector from capital to the rural areas of Nepal who provide quality education making a balance between the students and the available resources of the school. But, very sorry; they are out of reach for all those children who are pouring from the families which have a limited income. That is why; “the grapes are sour for them”.

The tearing story doesn’t end here rather starts. Children who desire to learn have to suffer a lot due to the location of their school; as government also can’t effort to form a school of each village separately. Therefore, they have to move ups and downs on foot at least for four hours daily. This is why, here most of the school begin at 10hrs and closed at 15hrs.

After, reaching home from school, instead of taking rest children have to be the helping hands in the domestic task. They have to work either in the agriculture field or move to the jungle for animal’s fodder. So, there is no time fixed for reading, writing and learning as well as enjoying their age.

However, SCAA has been born to bring the change in their lifestyle and truly fighting for the same from six year back and planning for future to spread the light of education in the village of Nepal.
