“SHERPA CHILDREN ASSISTANCE ASSOCIATION” (SCAA) is a non-governmental and a non profit motive organization which is established for educating the poor and needy children of Solukhumbhu, Eastern Himalayan region of Nepal. SCAA was registered under the Government of Nepal in 2000 A.D., bearing its registration number - 934/057/58.
Earlier, there were only four children. Two supported by Nima Sherpa who is the President of SCAA and the other two were supported by his friend from France. Now the numbers of children have reached up to hundred and fifty. These children get good education and can therefore afford a better standard of living.
To provide good education to all those children who are deprived of it due to their social, environmental and economical backgrounds.
“All the children are equal” in the eyes of SCAA. There will be no discrimination regarding their caste, religion, sex etc. Nepotism and favoritism is not encouraged by us.
We mainly give priorities to the following Village Development Committees: Garma VDC, Sallery VDC, Kanku VDC, Naile VDC, Kastap VDC and Deusa VDC.
These VDC’s come under an Eastern Himalayan District of Nepal i.e. Solukhumbhu District. Here Most of the students are deprived of education mainly due to poverty and other reasons.
Firstly to provide good and quality education to all the poor and needy children, we need more sponsors from our country and also from abroad. One of our future plans is also to repair school buildings and construct new ones with the help of our sponsors. We would also like to provide electricity to other schools so that the students can study more properly.

He is authorized to select the children for educational sponsor as he is actively involved in the functioning of SCAA and is hailing from the same locality and know about almost all the people and their family backgrounds.
He is a social worker from Lugano Switzerland, who enjoys trekking tour in Himalayan country. He has supported SCAA a lot and without his presence SCAA would be incomplete.
An association situated at Grownup in France which is involved in worldwide tourism and social work. They send tourists to Nepal and each tourist gives certain percentage of the amount to the SCAA for the children's education and the school development.

The people working in EDF of France has established an organization known as Electricien San Frontiers . They have helped us by providing the schools with electricity facility .
They look after 4 Primary school and two Health post in Beni VDC. Since 15 years. They help us for education sponsor child and health post staffs salary
It is sad that even today, there are many children in the rural areas of Nepal who can’t afford to get quality education and their future is dark. And all these because of poverty. However, if you decide to help them you can always do so through SCAA.
SSponsoring a child from a needy family, it's only Euro 180 per Years with SCAA you can change a child’s life. We are always ready to work with you for the sake of these innocent children. SCAA allows its sponsors to write to their child individually whenever needed and we also provide news along with the academic progress reports in the month of April/May. With your help they can happily turn up to schools and look to a brighter future.
We keep the students at Mt. Everest lower secondary school, Chailsa and White Hills higher secondary school at Salleri. Or near via Students where they live.
“For SCAA all the children are equal”. There will not be any sort of discrimination regarding Caste, Religion, Sex, Place of birth etc. Among the children while they are provided opportunity for education and other. Nepotism, Favouritism is also never practiced by SCAA.
